Latest Micromax Android One
In the last few months, Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system is getting some traction in the low-end smartphone segment. Not because of specifications, but the consistent user-experience. On the other hand, the entry-level Android smartphones have been quite sluggish on the budget hardware. – See more at: http://www.techtree.com/content/features/7484/preview-micromax-canvas-a1-android-one.html#sthash.sDaADpHq.dpuf
Custom Android skins are partly to be blamed for the lag and stutter. To get rid of this issue, Google has stepped in with its Android One program, which provides Nexus-like pure Android to the masses. The first wave of Android devices are made by Indian manufacturers such as Karbonn, Spice, and Micromax. The latter being the second biggest smartphone brand in India, let’s find out what its Android Canvas A1 has to offer.
Design And Construction
The Canvas A1 handset, unlike most Micromax phones seems quite sturdy. The materials used in construction are good considering the price tag. It does however, looks quite clunky, which is acceptable at this price point. Design-wise, it’s very similar to the first Android One smartphone from Karbonn. The handset’s front is covered by the glass. There are no hardware buttons on the front, as the UI navigation is taken care off by the on-screen keys. – See more at: http://www.techtree.com/content/features/7484/preview-micromax-canvas-a1-android-one.html#sthash.sDaADpHq.dpuf
he back-panel has a nice rubberised feel to it. There’s a protrusion (which is of the size of a Re 1 coin) around the phone’s main camera. It looks kind of out of the place, which hurts the design balance of the phone. Because of this, the Canvas A1 wobbles when kept on a table.

Black money: Modi govt toes line of UPA; tells SC it can’t disclose names
New Delhi: The Narendra Modi government, which promised to bring back black MONEYstashed by Indians in foreign banks, Friday toed the line of UPA regime by informing the Supreme Court that it cannot disclose such details given by countries with which India has double taxation avoidance agreement (DTAA).
In an application with annexures running into about 800 pages, the Centre contended that it cannot disclose all information as the foreign countries, with which India has double taxation avoidance agreement, have objected to making them public.
In the run-up to the Lok Sabha polls, BJP spearheaded by Narendra Modi had promised to bring back black MONEY kept by Indians in overseas bank and slammed UPA government for not taking effective action and accusing it of shielding the corrupt. After assuming power in May, the Modi government had pledged to fulfil its pre-poll promise.
Expressing reservation on disclosing all information on account holders, the government said that the foreign countries may not give further information and it would also be difficult to get into DTAA with other nations.
